Dublin, Ohio, that is. Like Dayton, I’ve been going to this festival for a long time. It feels like a reunion as each year I get to chat with vendors I’ve known a long time and reconnect with the wonderful staff at the Book Loft of German Village. I should note that this is the now the largest Irish festival in the world and is powered by a ton of fabulous volunteers along with city workers.
At this festival I also did Story Bingo with the kids. For adults I gave a talk about Irish Immigrant letters and how they influenced my novel Finding Juniper. As you can see, there are a lot of interesting happenings at this tent! I wish I could have heard them all!
It poured rain during my talk but that brought people in to listen, so it’s all good. I got some great questions afterward, which was nice. The tent was full!
