The drawing is over. Robyn was the winner. Thanks for your entries! Why St. Brigid?
I got interested in her long ago. That’s why I wrote my first published novel about her. Wow, it’s been 12 years this March! Today is St. Brigid’s Day!
How I’m Celebrating
I decided to post on Facebook seven of my favorite things about St. Brigid, one of three patron saints of Ireland. I hope you’ll follow. You can find the posts on my Facebook author page here: www.facebook.com/cindyswriting I’ll be posting links to blog articles I’ve written in past years on things like her special cross, her incredible generosity, her connection to spring, and more!
Her Legends Live On
The fact is, there are a lot of people like me who are fascinated by the stories of St. Brigid. Brigid of Ireland is still finding an audience even 12 years later. That fact blesses me beyond belief. I hope you’ll want to learn more. She’s had an influence on all my books in one way or another. Have you noticed? If so, please comment and tell me how. You’ll be entered into a drawing for a wee St. Brigid’s charm! (If you live beyond the U.S., you can still win but will have to pay for postage.) Drawing will be held Feb. 8 and winner must contact me in 24 hours.
Blessings to you!
I haven’t read any of your books but I am excited to learn about you and read your first book about St. Bridgid.
Thanks, Rose. I hope you enjoy it!
I just started your first book. I must say I love it so far. I look forward to reading more. Thank you for the opportunity to win this giveaway and to find a new source of reading. Have a blessed St. Brigid’s Day!
Thanks for reading, Penny, and for commenting!
Hey Cindy, I love Bridgid and have since I first read your book (over 6 years ago now!) Her cross is on the cover of your Daughter’s of Ireland series book, Pages of Ireland-where she is also found. Also, she is in the Roots of Irish Wisdom-all great reads! So glad you are still putting pen to paper. Blessings!
Thanks, Kathy! I appreciate you!
I never heard of St Brigid before. But I am learning alot of things I never knew about before. This 1 is thanks to you…
I’m so happy, Robyn! Enjoy!
I also have not had the pleasure of reading any of your books, but I so appreciate your writing based on St. Brigid. I don’t know about her and was delighted over your post. And thank you so much for the novella. I can’t wait to “sink my teeth into it”! Hoping to win the beautiful charm. It also is a pleasure to get to know you.
Thank you, Mary Lou. I hope you enjoy the novella.
Keep them coming Cindy-you are a favorite of mine!
Thank you so much, Jane!
