I know about how many I need for my historical novels, about 95K. A good blog post, in my opinion, is no more than 600 words. About 250 fit on a page in Times New Roman font.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe that&#8217;s why I struggle with poetry. Not writing it, because that I rarely try, but understanding it. You have to read between the words. There are exceptions. I love the poetry of Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost. I admire that they can use so few words to say so much. Words that touch the heart. Words we instantly recognize as true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s why when I heard this poem during a meditation I was listening to, I knew I wanted to share it with you. So true. So meaningful. So beautiful.
