I can relate right now to these medieval scribes. The ink is thin.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Thank God it will soon be dark.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Oh, my hand.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Now I&#8217;ve written the whole thing. For Christ&#8217;s sake, give me a drink.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Writing is excessive drudgery. It crooks your back, it dims your sight, it twists your stomach and your sides.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>St. Patrick from Armagh, deliver me from writing.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>And my favorite:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>As the harbor is welcome to the sailor, so is the last line to the scribe.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m a long way from the last line right now.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>How I Would Rewrite These Scribe Complaints<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>New version of Word crashing. I say nothing more.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>This page HAS been very slowly written.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Laptop battery is dead. The charge is slow.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Oh God, why did you create electricity?<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Oh, my hand. (And wrists, and shoulders, and elbows.)<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>I can&#8217;t seem to write the whole thing. Give me a drink!<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Writing is excessive drudgery.\u00a0It crooks your back, it dims your sight, it twists your stomach and your sides.
